Job summary

Sysmex America, Inc. seeks a Clinical Applications Specialist I to support instrument and middleware integration from order to go-live in clinical labs. You will train customers, troubleshoot issues, and act as a technical consultant across the laboratory IT and hematology environment.

The role requires lab and IT experience, strong communication, and travel up to 80% across multiple U.S. cities. A relevant degree and ASCP/CLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years hematology experience or associate degree with Medical Technologist/MLT and 10+ years hematology experience.
• Active ASCP or CLS certification required.
• Strong hematology background and laboratory/IT integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement Sysmex instruments, middleware and reagents at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot reagent, middleware or instrument performance issues.
• Develop and deliver customer training programs and workshops.
• Manage territory and accounts; document activity and drive process improvements.
• Provide pre- and post-sale technical support and data for customer-driven design.
• Communicate technical information to management and peers; support sales objectives.
• Deliver presentations and demos; participate in trade shows and evaluations.
• Manage company assets and expenses; perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years hematology experience

Associate's degree and Medical Technologist/MLT with 10+ years hematology experience
