Job summary

Sysmex America, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist I to join our team. This role supports instrument and middleware integration from order to go-live in the laboratory environment, including on-site training and advanced troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will bridge laboratory and IT environments, possessing strong Hematology experience, communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Travel up to 80% and a dynamic work pace are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience OR an Associate’s degree and Medical Technologist degree/Medical Laboratory Technician with 10+ years of relevant hematology industry experience, which may include experience in the Armed Forces.
• Active ASCP or CLS certification required.
• Supervisory experience highly desirable.
• Experience with LIS, HIS or WAM preferred.
• Working knowledge and solid CLIA/COLA experience necessary.
• Strong Hematology experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications skills required.
• Professional conduct and strong interpersonal skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Implement Sysmex instruments, middleware, and reagents into customer sites/laboratories: Plan the implementation process and work with customers to meet regulatory and validation requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting to improve customer self-sufficiency and resolve issues.
• Develop and implement training programs (workshops and onsite) for customers and Technical Services.
• Manage time, territory, and accounts; document activity; drive process improvements and customer satisfaction.
• Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support, including presentations and demos.
• Maintain assets and expenses within company guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
