Job summary

Sysmex America, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist I to join a multidisciplinary team supporting instrument and middleware implementation from order to go-live in laboratory settings.

The role includes on-site training, troubleshooting, and technical consulting for customers, with travel across the U.S. up to 80%. Candidates should have hematology experience and IT workflow expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in hematology, OR Associate's degree with Medical Technologist/MLT and 10+ years in hematology.
• Active ASCP or CLS certification required.
• Supervisory experience highly desirable.
• Experience with LIS, HIS or WAM preferred.
• Working knowledge of CLIA/COLA regulations.
• Strong hematology experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications skills required.
• Ability to analyze, problem solve and evaluate technical/IT data.
• Ability to execute moderately to highly complex single and multisite integration activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement Sysmex instruments, middleware, and reagents into customer sites and manage integration timelines.
• Troubleshoot reagent, middleware and instrument performance and propose improvements.
• Develop and implement customer training programs (workshops and onsite).
• Manage time, territory, accounts, and document activity; drive process improvements.
• Provide technical information to management and peers; support sales objectives.
• Demonstrate urgency, initiative, and goal orientation.
• Deliver pre-sale and post-sale technical support and product demonstrations.
• Manage company assets and expenses within guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
