Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator I in Hematology to manage complex scheduling, coordinate care across departments, and support patients and families. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize concurrent responsibilities.
• Proficient in MS Word, email, and data entry in a Windows environment.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems and meet patient needs.
• Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline oriented healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all patient appointments related to treatment within Fred Hutch and outside referrals.
• Coordinates scheduling with other departments to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Communicates with patients, families, visitors, providers, and staff and follows up as needed.
• Updates patient and caregiver contact information in the EHR.
• Communicates scheduling needs to providers and other parties; notifies appropriately.
