Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a skilled equipment operator to bale and load waste materials at an on-site facility in Missouri. You will operate bobcat, backhoe and other heavy equipment, perform daily inspections, and maintain machinery while adhering to safety rules.

Role requires the ability to communicate with team members, substitute for coworkers when needed, and help keep the site clean and compliant with regulations. Outdoor work in various weather conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Ability to obtain Transfer Station / Landfill Operations Certification if needed.
• Operate multiple heavy equipment pieces ( excavator, forklift/bobcat, front-loader, baler, backhoe, track hoe, bull dozer, compactor ).

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to bale and load waste material into trailers.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Grease, lubricate, and check fluids daily.
• Steer/drive listed equipment as assigned.
• Substitute for absent coworkers as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain grounds and facility.
• Attend safety and branch meetings and follow company policies.
