Job description

As an industry leading Environmental Remediation & Demolition Contractor since 1985, EnviroVantage, Inc is looking to add to our incredible team. Servicing projects Nationwide, and across the Caribbean, EnviroVantage is recognized as a trusted authority for all Government, Commercial & Industrial projects involving proper Hazardous materials handling and Demolition.

The Demolition Operator is responsible for operating 90,000lb+ Excavators equipped with hydraulic demolition attachments to safely perform complete building takedown, material processing and loadout for offsite disposal.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Safely and efficiently operate 90,000lb+ Excavators equipped with hydraulic demolition attachments
  • Safely perform building demolition and processing of materials using various attachments
  • Prepare construction site at times by digging trenches, leveling ground, and moving materials.
  • Process down demolition debris and safely load trucks for off‑site disposal
  • Load and unload materials such as soil, sand, gravel for site restoration activities
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
  • Conduct pre‑operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report any issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating Heavy Equipment performing building demolition and material processing
  • Experience in the construction and/or environmental remediation field required
  • OSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred
  • Experience operating various hydraulic attachments
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Coordination: Ability to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites
  • Attendance: Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are an essential job function
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator, and participate in OSHA‑required medical surveillance programs as necessary
  • Lifting: Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Climbing: Ability to climb temporary or permanent stairs and ladders
  • Regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Compensation
  • Compensation Range: $35.00 - $45.00/hour
  • Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on the first day of the month following date of hire.
  • Retirement Plans: 401(k) – 100% company match on the first 4% of employee contributions.
Paid Time Off & Holidays
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 80 hours per year
  • Sick Time: 56 hours per year
