Job summary

An environmental remediation contractor is seeking a dedicated individual to work on-site for demolition and construction projects. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of construction experience and certifications such as OSHA 10 and HAZWOPER 40. About the Company

Servicing projects Nationwide, and across the Caribbean, EnviroVantage is recognized as a trusted authority for all Government, Commercial & Industrial projects involving proper Hazardous materials handling and Demolition.

Essential Functions
  • Work on site supporting different tasks for demolition and construction projects
  • Torch cutting different types of material
  • Rigging experience helpful
  • Ability to adhere to all OSHA; EPA; as well as other federal agency, state and company hazardous materials laws and policies.
  • Be a strong team leader/player with a positive attitude who is hard working and motivated every day
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years construction experience required
  • OSHA 10 and HAZWOPER 40 required. If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
  • Experience with construction hand tools required
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment preferred, but not required.
  • Torch cutting and Rigging experience preferred, but not required.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or vocational schooling preferred, but not required
Working Environment / Physical Demands
  • Coordination: Ability to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites
  • Attendance: Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are an essential job function
  • Working Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, pollution and toxic atmospheres
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator, and participate in OSHA-required medical surveillance programs as necessary
  • Lifting: Ability to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
  • Climbing: Ability to climb temporary or permanent stairs and ladders
  • Regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Compensation
  • Compensation Range: $32.00 - $35.00/hour
  • Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
