Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Milford, MA seeks a Staffing Coordinator for Nursing Administration to support 2-evening shift staffing. You will enter new hires into scheduling systems, update schedules daily, and help manage bed huddles and staffing needs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong organizational and communication skills, and basic MS Office knowledge. Prior healthcare staffing experience is preferred. Signing bonus may be available.

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Strong follow up skills required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software.
• Knowledge of automated scheduling systems.
• Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Identifies staffing needs and confers with managers throughout the day.
• Enters all new hires into the Controller and Scheduler; updates schedules daily.
• Compiles daily staffing information and discusses with managers.
• Participates in daily Patient Flow bed meetings (huddles).
• Makes calls to fill staffing needs and communicates staffing changes to charge nurses.
• Identifies overtime staffing and participates in cost reduction.
