Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Past medical office experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and recapture appointments, reschedule missed patients and coordinate follow-ups.
• Register patients at check-in/out and ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate referrals with patients and referring physicians; log and schedule evaluations.
• Verify patients' insurance and obtain necessary prior authorizations.
• Educate patients about coverage and payment responsibilities for therapy services.
• Collect payments due prior to each visit (co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance).
• Answer incoming calls professionally and relay messages when appropriate.
