Job summary

ProgressiveHealth is seeking a Patient Experience Specialist to handle front-office duties in our Benton, IL clinic. This full-time, in-office role operates on a Monday–Friday day shift. No prior experience is required, though healthcare or medical office exposure is a plus.

You will manage scheduling, registrations, referrals, and patient communications to ensure smooth visits. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, PTO and holidays, and opportunities within a growing medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Past medical office experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and reschedule appointments to maximize visits.
• Register patients at check-in/out and verify information.
• Coordinate with referring physicians for referrals.
• Document referrals and logs as directed.
• Schedule initial evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations where needed.
• Explain insurance coverage and payment responsibilities to patients.
• Collect payments prior to each visit.
• Answer and direct incoming calls professionally.
• Support clinic operations as directed by Site Coordinator or Revenue Cycle team.
