Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator II to deliver exceptional patient-centered customer service and support IBJI teams. The role focuses on accurate registration, optimal patient scheduling, staff training, issue escalation, and other office duties to ensure a smooth patient experience and efficient operation.

The position requires a high school diploma (Associates preferred) and 3+ years in customer service with medical office exposure; Epic/EHR

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience in customer service (medical office experience is a plus)
• Minimum 1 year in a patient services related role preferred
• EHR experience with Epic preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors by providing high quality customer service
• Prepare paperwork for efficient operation and excellent customer service
• Handle scheduling requests, collect balances and explain insurance benefits
• Answer general inquiries and manage appointment scheduling
• Phone reception, patient triage and escalation to staff
• Registration/pre-registration and review of demographics and insurance
• Check in/out procedures and patient chart management
• Assist training of new staff and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Perform other office duties as assigned
