Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of direct outside sales experience.
• Knowledge of sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning.
• Strong communication and technology skills to communicate in today’s business environment.
• Ability to close sales with customers and articulate business drivers.
• Field-based role in New Haven/Bridgeport markets (4–5 days in the field).

• Use market data and resources to respond to developments in the customer’s business.
• Support managed inventory tasks to grow sales within assigned accounts.
• Explain Grainger’s Value Proposition and deliver solutions to grow profitable sales.

• Develop and implement account strategies with regular business reviews.
• Demonstrate compliance with sales and pricing guidelines.
• Leverage all resources and technical support available.
• Document and analyze customer-focused activities to increase productivity and sales.
