Job summary

Journal Technologies, headquartered in Los Angeles, seeks a Head of the Supervision Business Unit to provide strategic leadership and accountability for the BU, guiding cross-functional teams in Product, Customer Lifecycle, and Customer Growth.

This executive role drives growth, customer outcomes, and operational performance while shaping the product roadmap and collaborating with the CEO to deliver value across probation, parole, and related justice services.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in enterprise software or public sector technology.
• Experience leading a business unit with responsibility for growth and performance.
• Experience balancing customer needs, operations, and financials.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
• Strong business and financial acumen with budget management experience.
• Experience engaging executive customers and senior government leaders is preferred.
• Knowledge of supervision operations or justice market is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall success and profitability of the Supervision BU.
• Develop and execute the BU strategy with the CEO.
• Lead Product, Customer Lifecycle, and Customer Growth Scrum teams.
• Improve operational efficiency and expand product-led implementations.
• Influence product roadmap based on customer needs and market trends.
• Set BU priorities and manage cross-functional tradeoffs.
• Monitor financial and operational metrics and drive profitability.
• Build executive relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to grow the business.
• Ensure successful implementations and customer success outcomes.
• Represent BU with customers, industry groups, and partners.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.
• Lead with autonomy while reporting to the CEO.
