Job summary

Journal Technologies, a long-time subsidiary of Daily Journal Corporation, is seeking a Head of the Courts Business Unit to define and execute the BU strategy while leading Sales, Product, Professional Services, Support, and Customer Engagement. The role reports to the CEO and focuses on growth, profitability, and exceptional customer outcomes across our Courts solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/public administration/engineering or related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in enterprise software, government/public sector tech preferred.
• Experience leading a business unit or major product line with growth responsibility.
• Experience balancing customer needs, operational excellence and financial performance.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Strong business and financial acumen with budget and profitability oversight.
• Experience working with executive customers and senior public sector leaders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own profitability, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operations for the Courts BU.
• Develop and execute BU strategy with CEO alignment.
• Lead Product, Customer Lifecycle, and Customer Growth teams to BU objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and product-led initiatives.
• Influence product strategy and roadmap based on customer needs and market trends.
• Set BU priorities and manage cross-functional tradeoffs for value delivery.
• Monitor financials and performance, identify and act on improvement opportunities.
• Build executive relationships with customers and strategic accounts.
