Job summary

Journal Technologies is seeking a dynamic Head of the Defender Business Unit to drive strategic leadership and overall accountability for Defender’s success. You will guide cross-functional teams across Sales, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Engagement to deliver growth and superior customer outcomes.

In this role you will partner with the CEO to execute the BU vision, monitor financial performance, and push continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred.
• Progressive leadership in enterprise software or public sector tech.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
• Strong business and financial acumen with budget management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder alignment skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Defender Business Unit success including profitability, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute BU strategy with CEO; align with company priorities.
• Lead Product, Customer Lifecycle, and Customer Growth Scrum teams to meet BU objectives.
• Drive operational efficiency and product-led implementations across BU.
• Influence product strategy and roadmap based on customer needs and market trends.
• Manage executive relationships with strategic accounts and partners.
• Ensure delivery of implementations, support, and customer success outcomes.
