Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Engineering Leader to guide cross-functional teams in HR Technology, shaping multi-cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and internal platforms. You will drive platform strategy, elevate developer experience, and lead cost optimization and security initiatives across the software lifecycle.

The role requires a track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments, strong leadership, and collaboration with architecture, product, and PMO teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in tech and engineering leadership.
• 8+ years leading teams in a matrix organization.
• 4+ years partnering with architecture, product and PMO teams to influence product development.
• 4+ years leading discovery sessions, workshops, demos, onboarding sessions, and enablement activities.
• 2+ years in a leadership role coordinating across software cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years influencing stakeholders, manage vendor/budget relationships, and translate complex technical strategies for business units.
• 2+ years of strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 2+ years mentoring resources and supporting knowledge transfer across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Platform strategy and delivery with Architecture and AppDev teams across portfolios.
• Build and scale internal platforms (IPs) and self-service tools to lower developer cognitive load.
• Scale CI/CD pipelines, IaC, GitOps, and DevSecOps to embed security and observability.
• Partner with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions.
• Mentor and lead cross-functional teams of Engineers, DevOps, and SRE; manage cloud budgets.
• Track engineering productivity and reliability metrics while managing cloud costs and compliance.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools and cloud-native services into delivery lifecycle.
