Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Engineering Leader to guide cross-functional teams delivering multi-cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and internal platforms. You will drive platform strategy, design scalable solutions, and champion engineering excellence in a fast-paced HR technology space.

The Lead Director will mentor engineers, manage budgets, and partner with architecture, product, and PMO to align delivery with business goals. This role emphasizes security, cost optimization, and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

10+ years leading large software programs and engineering leaders.
8+ years leading matrixed teams.
4+ years partnering with architecture, product and PMO.
2+ years in a leadership role coordinating across teams.
2+ years influencing stakeholders and vendor relationships.
2+ years strong written and verbal communication.
2+ years mentoring resources across teams.
2+ years leading complex initiatives across priorities.

Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Delivery: Define and drive platform strategy with Architecture and AppDev teams.
Platform Engineering & Developer Experience: Build internal platforms and self-service tools.
DevOps & Automation Leadership: Scale CI/CD pipelines, IaC, GitOps, DevSecOps.
Solution Engineering & Integration: Design scalable technical solutions and integrations.
Team & Budget Management: Mentor and lead cross-functional teams, manage cloud spend.
Metrics & Governance: Track productivity and reliability metrics and cloud costs.
Emerging Technology Integration: Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools and cloud services.
