Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Department Lead to drive efficient operations in your assigned department, overseeing scanning outs, inventory, price changes, and planogram sets while maintaining high displays and signing standards.

You will ensure cleanliness, safety, customer engagement, and cross-training across departments, while upholding Rural King values of People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork and Accountability.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of specific department.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to listen, ask questions, and provide thorough responses.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and evolving business needs.
• Flexible mindset to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address issues quickly.
• Maintain composure under pressure and ensure timely outcomes.
• Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
• Proficient with computer systems to assist customers and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain department standards.
• Monitor inventory levels with regular stock counts and replenishment.
• Oversee the recovery process to keep a neat, visually appealing department.
• Coordinate and execute price changes and update signage as required.
• Manage playbook features and planogram sets per company guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department and workspace.
• Provide customer service and assist with inquiries and product location.
• Support front-end transactions or loadouts as needed.
• Use office equipment and handheld devices; operate forklifts/pallet jacks as required.
• Participate in cross-training across departments and training initiatives.
