Job summary

Rural King Farm and Home Store seeks a Department Lead to drive efficient operations in the assigned department. You will oversee scanning outs, inventory, price changes, planograms, and ensure displays meet company standards.

You will deliver friendly customer service, support front-end transactions, and participate in training programs. This role requires 40-hour weeks with varied hours, and a commitment to Rural King's values.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience in a department role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Active listening and effective customer interactions.

• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

• Proficient with basic office equipment and store systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain consistent displays.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels with stock counts and replenishment.
• Oversee the recovery process for neat, organized department appearance.
• Coordinate and execute price changes with labeling and signage.
• Manage playbook features and planogram sets per guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist with inquiries.
• Process transactions or loadouts as required at the front end.
• Use office equipment as needed.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders and other retail equipment.
• Participate in cross-training across departments.
• Engage in training programs and continuous improvement.
• Provide friendly internal and external support promptly.
• Demonstrate Rural King's Values in daily work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
