Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Department Lead to oversee a department’s operations, including inventory, merchandising, pricing, and recovery, while upholding company standards. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced store environment.

You will work a 40-hour week with varied hours, including nights and weekends, and participate in cross-training and ongoing training programs to stay current with company policies and retail best practices.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience in a department role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to convey ideas and instructions.
• Demonstrated adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address issues promptly.
• Attention to detail to maintain accuracy and signage.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work varied hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain department standards and displays.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels with regular stock counts and restocking.
• Oversee the recovery process to keep the department neat and visually appealing.
• Coordinate price changes and update pricing labels as required.
• Manage playbook features and planogram sets per company guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department and workspace.
