Job summary

Panorama Education is seeking a Director of People Operations & Systems to own the People tech stack, data governance, payroll controls, and lifecycle operations. You will design scalable HR workflows, lead payroll governance, and partner with Finance, IT, Legal, Security, Talent, and leadership to raise operating maturity using AI, automation, and self-service.

You will inherit systems to evolve, build an operating model that reduces manual work while strengthening accuracy and employee

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of progressive People Operations, HRIS, HR technology, payroll operations, or related experience with senior ownership of complex environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading a major HRIS implementation or transformation (Rippling preferred; ADP Workforce Now a plus).
• Strong payroll fluency, including multi-state considerations, audits, and data integrity.
• Experience developing operational teams and accountability across functions.

Responsibilities

• Own the People technology ecosystem and roadmap, including HRIS governance, integrations, access, and vendor performance.
• Lead payroll governance and operate with strong controls, audit readiness, and effective issue resolution.
• Oversee employee lifecycle operations, onboarding/offboarding, and I-9/E-Verify for international teams.
• Build scalable dashboards and self-service reporting for leaders on headcount, turnover, and compensation.
• Redesign payroll workflows as automation matures to emphasize governance and exception management.
• Partner across Finance, IT, Legal, Security, Talent, and People leadership to ensure clear decision rights.
