HelloFresh is seeking a Director of Engineering, Communications, to lead the engineering organization enabling a personalised, autonomous CRM ecosystem across channels. You will set technical direction, uphold reliability, and partner with Product, Marketing and CRM to translate vision into working systems.

You will drive true personalisation, expand channel reach, and build self-service platforms with strong governance across Berlin and beyond.

Formación

• Proven leadership at scale with 10+ years in software engineering.
• 4+ years managing Engineering Managers or Leads.
• Experience leading teams across multiple offices and building trust without daily co-location.
• Deep technical credibility for large-scale backend, data and event-driven systems.
• Experience with AI-native engineering practices and AI-driven products.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Communications engineering organisation through Engineering Leads and Staff Engineers across Berlin and Warsaw.
• Set technical direction for autonomous, self-optimising communication systems with Product, Marketing and CRM.
• Drive personalisation to ensure right message at the right time via correct channel.
• Build self-service platforms with governance and guardrails for non-engineers.
• Own reliability and operational excellence: SLOs, monitoring, incidents, on-call maturity.
• Expand channels from experiments to scalable solutions; AI agent integration.
• Mentor Engineering Leads and Staff Engineers; foster team health and standards.
• Navigate organisational change and align priorities with business outcomes.
