Job summary

Hims & Hers in Arizona seeks a Head Compounding Pharmacist to lead compounding operations, ensure quality and patient safety, and develop new compounded treatments. You will supervise the compounding team, validate procedures, and collaborate with R&D to scale up formulations.

The role emphasizes compliance with USP <795>, <800>, and HIPAA, while maintaining a safety-first lab culture and supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Non-sterile compounding experience required.
• Strong math skills are necessary.
• Must be able to undergo respirator fit testing.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Proficiency in English, verbal and written.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and AZ license.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise all compounding personnel.
• Perform and document compounding procedures, QA/QC checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations.
• Train and evaluate compounding personnel.
• Review and approve materials for use in compounding.
• Work with R&D on scale-up of new compounded formulations.
• Follow safety, USP, BOP, and internal guidelines for compounding.
