Job summary

Workforce Recruiter is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager to own ASC 740 income tax provision and coordinate outsourced tax functions. The role sits at the center of tax operations, working with external advisors (RSM) and Avalara, and internal stakeholders across the enterprise.

You will lead the provision process, manage timelines, and drive continuous improvement in tax reporting and compliance across federal, state, and local levels. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership position.

Qualifications

• ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
• C-Corp federal and state tax compliance.
• Experience in outsourced tax environments (Big 4 / regional firms).
• Working knowledge of Avalara or similar sales tax systems.
• Proven ability to manage audits, resolve tax issues, and work with tax authorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual ASC 740 tax provision: current & deferred calculations, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Perform provision-to-return true-ups and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external tax advisors and review federal/state income tax returns and workpapers.
• Oversee outsourced sales/use tax compliance processes and reviews.
• Manage multi-jurisdictional tax compliance across federal, state, and local levels; support tax implications of business decisions.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and track regulatory changes; assist cash flow forecasting related to tax obligations.
• Coordinate across internal teams and third-party providers to improve tax workflows and ensure deadlines.
