Job summary

Ruppert Landscape offers a 10–12 week paid internship in landscape maintenance, providing hands-on field training and exposure to branch operations. Interns shadow various teams including Field Operations, Irrigation, Enhancements, Sales and Leadership, while a dedicated mentor guides progress.

Participants gain practical skills, industry exposure, and networking opportunities, with a potential path to full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Actively pursuing a degree in Horticulture, Turf Management, Agribusiness, Business Management, Operations Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
• Interest in working in a team-oriented, customer-focused industry with willingness to support a variety of operational needs.
• Comfortable working in both office and outdoor field environments.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of routine job duties.
• Proficient in computers and common software including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on field training across multiple areas of field operations with crews.
• Job shadowing across Field Operations, Irrigation, Enhancements, Sales, and Branch Leadership.
• Dedicated mentorship with regular feedback and professional development.
• Management and leadership development through team-building, etiquette, communication and leadership practices.
• Collaborative team environment with meaningful projects and cross-team learning.
• Professional networking with peers, mentors, and leaders within Ruppert Landscape.
• Intern choice experience with potential departmental training opportunities at program end.
• Final presentation of internship experiences, projects, lessons learned, and skills developed.
