Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners partners with a Central New York manufacturer to hire an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join its engineering team in North Syracuse, NY. This hands-on role focuses on embedded C coding for 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers, developing controls for HVAC/R and industrial equipment, with hardware, mechanical, and test teams onsite.

You will work through product development from concept to production, collaborating across disciplines to deliver robust embedded solutions

Qualifications

Hands-on experience writing embedded C firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
Strong understanding of microcontrollers, interrupts, timers, peripherals, and hardware interfaces.
Experience developing and debugging bare-metal embedded firmware.
Ability to troubleshoot interactions between firmware and electronic hardware.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C.
Develop firmware for 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers.
Create control logic for sensors, relays, motors, and other electronic components.
Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development, integration, and troubleshooting.
Debug hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes, development tools, and laboratory equipment.
Participate in new product development, testing, and validation.
Troubleshoot existing products and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Document code, participate in design reviews, and support products through manufacturing.
