Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search partners with a Central New York manufacturer to place an Embedded Firmware Engineer who will design, develop, and maintain firmware for HVAC/R and industrial products. You will work with electrical, mechanical, and test engineers to move concepts into production.

Ideal candidates have hands-on embedded C experience with microcontrollers and a BS in EE/CE/CS or related field. Competitive salary: $85,000–$115,000, onsite in North Syracuse, with relocation assistance for

Qualifications

Hands-on embedded C firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
Experience with bare-metal embedded firmware development.
Ability to troubleshoot firmware-hardware interactions.
BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C.
Develop firmware for 8-,16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers.
Create control logic for sensors, switches, relays, motors, and other electronics.
Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development, integration, and troubleshooting.
Debug hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes, development tools, and lab equipment.
Participate in new product development, testing, and validation.
Troubleshoot existing products and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Document code, participate in design reviews, and support products through manufacturing.
