Job summary
Aspire Talent Solutions, partnering with a Central New York manufacturer, seeks an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join its engineering team. This hands-on role focuses on C firmware for microcontroller-based systems used in HVAC/R and industrial applications.
You will collaborate with hardware, electrical, and test engineers to develop and improve electronic products, from concept through production, debugging and validating firmware and hardware together.
Qualifications
- Hands-on embedded C experience on microcontroller-based systems.
- Strong understanding of interrupts, timers, peripherals and interfaces.
- Experience in bare-metal firmware development and debugging.
- Ability to troubleshoot firmware–hardware interactions and explain solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C.
- Develop firmware for 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers.
- Create control logic for sensors, relays, motors and other components.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development and troubleshooting.
- Debug hardware and firmware with oscilloscopes and lab tools.
- Participate in new product development, testing, and validation.
- Troubleshoot existing products and support continuous improvement.
- Document code and support manufacturing continue.
