Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Central New York manufacturing team in North Syracuse, NY. The role focuses on hands‑on embedded C development for microcontroller-based systems used in HVAC/R and industrial applications.

You will design, implement, test, and debug firmware for 8/16/32‑bit MCUs, collaborate with hardware engineers, and contribute to new product development and manufacturing support. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience writing embedded C firmware for microcontroller-based systems is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with new product development is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C programming.
• Develop firmware for 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers.
• Create control logic for sensors, switches, relays, motors, and other components.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Debug hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes and lab equipment.
• Participate in new product development, testing, and validation.
• Troubleshoot existing products and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Document code and participate in design reviews.
