Zaddy Solutions is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join its Central New York team in North Syracuse. The role focuses on designing, coding, and debugging embedded C firmware for microcontroller‑based products used in HVAC/R and industrial applications.
You will collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and test engineers to bring concepts into production. The ideal candidate has hands‑on embedded C experience, a solid grasp of MCUs, and relates well to cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
- Hands-on embedded C firmware experience for microcontroller-based systems.
- Strong understanding of microcontrollers, interrupts, timers, peripherals, and hardware interfaces.
- Experience debugging/bare‑metal firmware and troubleshooting firmware–hardware interactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C.
- Develop firmware for 8-/16-/32-bit MCUs.
- Create control logic for sensors, actuators, and relays.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development and troubleshooting.
- Debug hardware and firmware using scopes and lab equipment.
- Participate in new product development, testing, and validation.
