Job summary
Saint Cyr Partners is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join its Central New York manufacturing partner's engineering team onsite in North Syracuse, NY. You will design, develop, and debug embedded firmware in C for 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers and collaborate with hardware and test engineers to bring products from concept to production.
You will work on sensors, relays, motors, and other components, troubleshoot firmware/hardware interactions, and contribute to new product development in
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience writing embedded C firmware for microcontroller-based systems is required.
- Experience with bare-metal embedded firmware development.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C programming.
- Develop firmware for 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers.
- Create control logic for sensors, switches, relays, motors, and other components.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Debug hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes, development tools, and lab equipment.
- Participate in new product development, testing, and validation.
- Troubleshoot existing products and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document code, participate in design reviews, and support products through manufacturing.
