Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our communities in Michigan. You will handle home and facility repairs, groundskeeping, trash removal, and safety checks to keep properties inviting and functional.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 6 months in maintenance or snow removal, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months maintenance experience preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience preferred.
• General maintenance knowledge and repair skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures trash/debris is picked up daily in common areas and streets.
• Completes minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Inspects irrigation systems and repairs as needed.
• Maintains vacant sites including trash removal.
• Removes snow from community areas as applicable.
• Maintains lawns, plants, and hedges; performs basic landscaping.
• Inspects playgrounds, pool/spa areas, and recreation amenities.
• Maintains community vehicles and equipment.
• Follows safety procedures while moving between sites.
