Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across communities. Responsibilities include general repairs, lawn care, snow removal, and ensuring curb appeal. The role involves outdoor work, safety adherence, and collaboration with management.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic maintenance knowledge, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A valid driver's license and on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous maintenance experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry (Preferred)
• 6 months in snow removal experience (Preferred)
• 6 months in general maintenance techniques and repair work (Preferred)
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Proficient in operating hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery

Responsibilities

• Ensures trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets.
• Completes minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Inspects irrigation system regularly and makes repairs as needed.
• Maintains vacant sites and removes trash and debris.
• Removes snow from community streets, parking lots, and entrances as applicable.
• Maintains lawns and performs landscaping tasks as needed.
• Inspects playgrounds, pool/spa, and recreational amenities for condition and minor repairs.
• Maintains community vehicles and equipment.
• Follows safety procedures while moving between sites and handling supplies.
