Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform routine and preventative work across our communities in Michigan. You will handle home and facility repairs, grounds upkeep, snow removal where applicable, and support residents with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months in apartment/manufactured housing maintenance preferred.
• 6 months snow removal preferred.
• Basic maintenance knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across Sun communities.
• Repair homes and facilities and maintain cleanliness of grounds and facilities.
• Inspect irrigation, water meters, and on-site systems.
• Snow removal and lawn care as applicable.
• Move-in/move-out site spotting and turnover support.
• Maintain community pool(s) conditioning and safety checks.
• Operate hand tools, power equipment, and machinery.
• Report issues to manager and complete site checklists.
• Ensure curb appeal and safe access for residents.
