Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors in Michigan is seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform routine and preventative maintenance across Sun communities. Responsibilities include repairs, groundskeeping, and ensuring cleanliness and curb appeal while delivering excellent resident service.

You will handle water testing, snow removal, landscaping, and basic reporting. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work well both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months maintenance experience in the apartment/manufactured housing industry preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience, including plow truck operation if applicable (preferred).
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventative maintenance across Sun communities.
• Repairs and maintains rental homes and facilities.
• Inspects and maintains irrigation, water systems, and meters as applicable.
• Maintains vacant sites and cleans common areas and grounds.
• Performs snow removal and landscaping as needed, including duties outdoors.
• Ensures safety and curb appeal standards are met across communities.
• Reports maintenance issues to the manager and completes occupancy condition checklists.
