Job summary

Planet Fitness in Hanson, MA, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support gym operations and deliver a premier Judgement Free Zone experience. This full-time role requires a 40-hour schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet business demands.

You will help recruit and train staff, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and ensure top-notch customer service while supporting the Club Manager with daily operations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Member service oversight - Ensuring staff is providing a superior customer experience at all times.
• Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
• Involved in all front desk related activities including: Answer phones, Check members into the system, New member sign-up, Take tours.
