Planet Fitness in Andover, MA seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and ensure a welcoming, high-quality member experience in our Judgement Free Zone®. The role covers 40 hours per week, with possible evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel to support business needs.

Responsibilities include meeting sales goals, hiring and developing staff, maintaining excellent customer service, and coordinating front desk activities while ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout the club.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service
• Previous management experience is preferred
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
• Current CPR Certification preferred
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests and ensure staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager and oversee staff scheduling.
• Oversee front desk activities: answer phones, sign-ups, and member tours.
• Facilitate member requests and questions; assist with cleanliness and maintenance.
• Assist in ordering supplies and tracking budget-based on club requirements.
• Help monitor statistics and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
