Job summary

Gold's Gym is seeking a Front Desk Team Member to warmly greet members and guests, direct them as they enter, and process check-ins. You will handle front-desk operations, answer calls, and assist with memberships, scheduling, and retail transactions to ensure a smooth guest experience.

You will be the first point of contact, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, providing information on gym policies, and coordinating with trainers and management as needed to resolve inquiries and incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Organized, friendly, and fitness‑minded.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Understanding of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly to create a positive entrance and exit.
• Control access to the front door and retail area.
• Check members in using proper procedures.
• Monitor check-ins and flag delinquent accounts.
• Register guests and direct them to the appropriate trainer.
• Answer calls professionally and relay messages to management.
• Respond to member requests and concerns promptly.
• Maintain a neat appearance and wear proper uniform with nametag.
• Distribute keys, towels, and other materials as needed.
• Process retail and concession sales and help maintain inventory.
• Attend staff meetings and log maintenance concerns.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents to management.
• Assist with membership sales and signups, barcode assignment, and scheduling sessions.
