Job summary

Highgate Hotels is hiring a Front Office Agent at the Residence Inn Salem to deliver attentive service from check-in to checkout and maximize room revenue. You will handle guest inquiries, manage reservations, and uphold hotel standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer services experience preferred.
• Must communicate clearly and maintain a warm, friendly demeanor.
• Must multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Maintain attendance per hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and handle check-ins/outs in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Answer inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation and local attractions.
• Follow cash handling and credit policies and quote current rates/promotions.
• Be familiar with in-house groups, rates, and rate quotes.
• Operate Front Desk computer system and complete shift checklist promptly.
• Balance and prepare closing paperwork.
• Market promotions and guest programs; maintain a clean work area.
• Assist guests with safe deposit boxes and other requests.
