Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Scarborough, ME is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent for the Residence Inn Scarborough. You will greet guests, check them in/out, answer inquiries, and coordinate with teams to ensure a smooth stay while maximizing occupancy and guest satisfaction.

You should have a High School diploma (College coursework helpful), computer experience, and customer service experience. The role requires flexibility, the ability to multitask, and long hours when needed.

Qualifications

• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer Services experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Light work - up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to stand during shift.
• Strong communication and courteous service.
• Must multitask and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests at Front Desk in line with standards.
• Maintain PBX console operation and hotel standards.
• Answer inquiries about services, facilities and hours.
• Log and deliver packages, mail and messages to guests/meeting rooms.
• Review Front Office logs and Trace File daily.
• Assist guests with restaurant, transport and entertainment inquiries.
• Follow cash handling and credit policies.
• Be aware of rates, packages, and promotions in the Red Book.
• Familiarize with in-house groups and blackout dates.
• Handle reservations and quote rates accurately.
