Job summary

The C. Baldwin Houston hotel, part of Sage Hospitality Group, is seeking a professional Front Desk Agent to warmly assist arriving and departing guests and manage reservations. You will greet guests, handle check-in/check-out, communicate rates, and provide timely information to ensure satisfaction.

You will also manage cash transactions, operate the PBX system, and maintain accurate records while delivering a friendly and helpful guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school graduate level mathematical aptitude and cash handling knowledge.
• Experience in direct customer interaction and basic customer service skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Able to stay tactful and composed handling a range of customer service situations.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and complete check-in procedures using manual and computerized methods.
• Facilitate daily check-out to close guest accounts and prepare rooms for next guests.
• Process cash transactions and maintain accurate hotel records.
• Answer inquiries and accept reservations, promoting room nights and revenue.
• Maintain customer relations with timely, knowledgeable responses in person or by phone.
• Operate PBX to handle calls, wake-up tasks, and guest paging efficiently.
• Control cash transactions per hotel policy and uphold a friendly demeanor.
