Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Louisville is seeking a Front Office Agent to deliver attentive, courteous service during check-in, stay, and checkout while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

You will answer guest inquiries, manage reservations, handle cash, and stay informed about rates and promotions. Experience in hospitality and strong communication are preferred; computer experience is required.

Qualifications

• College coursework in a related field is helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Computer experience is required.
• Customer services experience is preferred.
• Must communicate clearly with guests and staff in a courteous, service-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
• Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
• Be aware of rates, packages and promotions as listed in the Red Book.
• Be familiar with all in-house groups and dates.
• Handle check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Operate the Front Desk computer system and complete shift tasks.
