Job summary

The Galt House Hotel in Louisville is seeking a Front Office Supervisor to oversee guest services, reservations and front desk operations, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency.

The role requires hospitality experience, cash handling, and strong computer skills; you will supervise team members, train staff, and collaborate with all departments to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in hospitality (preferred).
• Familiar with basic math and cash handling procedures.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Positive and professional attitude at all times.
• Knowledge of the greater Louisville Area.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule with full availability on nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Make a daily reservation count of arrivals and departures to aid in the selling of rooms.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to upgrade room types and promote other services of the hotel.
• Register all incoming guest in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Stay up to date on room rates, packages, discounts and how to handle each.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of room types, location, literature, furnishings and other amenities that are included.
• Handle complaints courteously and relay them to your manager for appropriate action.
• Plan, schedule, organize, coordinate and administer front office activities.
• Perform responsibilities of front office agent.
• Supervise and train front office personnel.
• All other duties as required.
