Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent in Richmond, VA, responsible for checking guests in and out, handling reservations, and guiding guests on local activities. You will interact with guests in person and online, issue keys, and collect payments in a fast-paced environment.

Experience at a front desk is preferred, with strong customer service, multitasking, and attention to detail. Reliable transport and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a front desk agent preferred.
• High school diploma or GED certification or equivalent experience.
• Prioritization and time management skills required.
• Reliable mode of transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Issues room key and escort instructions to Bell person or guest.
• Transmits and receives messages using hotel equipment.
• Answers inquiries about hotel services, directions and local activities.
• Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts.
• Computes bill, collects payment and makes change.
• May reserve rooms, restaurant, transportation or entertainment.
• May deposit guests’ valuables in hotel safe.
