Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent to manage guest check-in and check-out, handle reservations, and assist visitors with information about local activities. The role involves collecting payments, distributing keys, and coordinating with Bell staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
• Ability to greet guests warmly and handle inquiries.
• Strong math and payment handling skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Issues room key and escort instructions to guests or Bell staff.
• Dates-stamps, sorts, and routes mail and messages.
• Transmits and receives messages via telephone, fax, and switchboard.
• Answers inquiries about hotel services, registrations, and local directions.
• Keeps records of room availability and guest accounts.
• Calculates bills, collects payments, and makes change.
• May make, confirm, or cancel reservations for guests.
• Posts charges for room, food, liquor, or phone calls.
• May arrange restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations.
• May secure guests' valuables in the hotel safe.
• Enforces hotel credit policies and conducts deposits per policy.
• Communicates with front office and other departments.
• Reports to work on schedule, in uniform, per policy.
• Follows company policies and takes initiative to greet guests warmly.
• Cross-sells other Shamin Hotels and performs related duties.
