Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent to check guests in and out, handle reservations and answer questions about services and local activities. You will greet guests warmly, manage room assignments, and process payments with accuracy in a bustling front office environment.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork within the Operations department. This is an on-site position supporting our Highland Springs, VA properties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a front desk agent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Issues room key and escort instructions to guest or Bell staff.
• Date-stamps and sorts mail and messages.
• Transmits and receives messages via telephone, fax and switchboard.
• Answers inquiries about services, directions, and local activities.
• Keeps records of room availability and guest accounts.
• Calculates bills, collects payments and makes change.
• May make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests.
• Posts charges for rooms, meals, or services; processes payments.
