Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent in Sandston, VA to assist guests with check-in/out, reservations, and payments. You will greet guests, answer questions about hotel services and local activities, and help with room assignments and key distribution.

The role emphasizes strong guest service, accuracy in handling charges, and cross-selling hotel services. You will interact with front office and other departments while upholding policy and courtesy standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a front desk agent is preferred.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills are required.
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality and pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Issues room keys and provides escort instructions when appropriate.
• Date-stamps, sorts and racks incoming mail and messages.
• Transmits and receives messages via telephone, fax and switchboard.
• Answers inquiries about hotel services, guest registration and area activities.
• Keeps records of room availability and guest accounts.
• Computes bills, collects payments and makes change.
• May make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests.
• Posts charges and may arrange transportation or entertainment reservations.
