Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a Guest Service Representative I to manage front desk operations at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites and/or Navy Lodge properties in Memphis. You will handle reservations, payments, check-in/check-out, and guest inquiries while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring guest privacy.

This role requires strong communication, cash handling, and familiarity with a Property Management System.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of general office/clerical experience.
• One (1) year progressively responsible experience in a related position.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests; answer questions about lodging facilities and local attractions.
• Process reservations, payments, check-in/check-out, and guest verification.
• Maintain front desk lobby appearance and ensure safety and privacy of guests.
• Operate a multi-line phone system and relay messages as required.
• Balance shift transactions and prepare daily reports and receipts.
• Assist with breakfast bar setup and stocking; manage supplies as needed.
• Train staff at the front desk and use the PMS for reservations and billing.
• Participate in room assignment, key handling, and CNA or alternative lodging when needed.
