Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a part-time Guest Service Agent in Glen Allen, VA to warmly welcome guests, check them in/out, and handle reservations. You will assist guests in-person and online, provide local activity recommendations, collect payments, and help with room assignments and key distribution.

Strong communication and accuracy are essential. Responsibilities include greeting guests, processing check-ins, managing inquiries, and ensuring payments are recorded in line with hotel policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prioritization and time management skills required.
• Proven experience as a front desk agent preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Issues room key and escort instructions to guests or Bell staff.
• Date-stamps, sorts and racks incoming mail and messages.
• Transmits and receives messages using telephone, fax and switchboard.
• Answers inquiries about hotel services, registrations, and local directions.
• Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts.
• Computes bill, collects payment and provides change.
