Job summary

SMI Hotel Group in Richmond, Virginia, is looking for an upbeat Front Desk Agent to deliver a warm, professional welcome and memorable guest experiences from check-in to departure.

You will handle check-ins/outs, provide information on rooms, rates and amenities, and assist guests with requests while processing cash and card transactions accurately. This is a full-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Front Desk Agent or similar role.
• Experience with hotel reservations software such as OnQ or Opera.
• Customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
• Assist guests and resolve guest challenges to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
• Accurately conduct all cash handling and credit card processing activities
• Accurately, audit, balance and report on all cash and credit transactions including checks, deposits, house charges, promotional materials, postings etc. in the hotel in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned
